
2010 STUDENT TOURISM & HOSPITALITY CONFERENCE Posted Friday, September 22, 2006 The Fifth Student Tourism & Hospitality Conference entitled "The Best of Everything" will held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the West Palm Beach Marriott.
Over 150 high school students and their teachers at Palm Beach Gardens High Tourism, Hospitality & Resort Management Magnet Program, Forest Hills High School Tourism & Hospitality Career Academy and Olympic Heights High School's Tourism & Hospitality Career Academy are expected. They will be welcomed with a presenation on the Tourism & Hospitality Industry in Palm Beach County and then students will be split into panel sessions featuring professionals talking about: 1)The Open Door - Careers in the Hospitality Industry; 2)What makes up the Tourism Industry in Palm Beach County? 3) How Do Equip Myself for a Career in Tourism & Hospitality; and 4)I want the Job - How do I get hired?
The conference will conclud with lunch and awards, including the hotly contested bed-making and waiters races, and finally a prize raffle for the students.
With the success of the last four conferences in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, it is firmly planted as an annual feature for tourism and hospitality students in Palm Beach County.
